In light of recent events, we want to support our students in making sense of tragedy. Teachers and staff are getting a lot of questions and concerns from students. I am forwarding some of the recommendations the teachers are using to have conversations. This article from Boys Town has some powerful resources about talking to kids when dealing with tragedy.

FUN RUN: Annual OPA Fun Run is Oct. 14th, sign up sheets are available at the front desk, hurry to still get a shirt. Costumes are encouraged.

Mon., Tues., Wed. 7:30-8:00 am
Mon. - Tues. 2:45-4:30 pm
Wed. 12:45 - 7:00 pm
Thurs. 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Student Yoga Club, and 5th/6th grade book club will not be held the week of Book Fair. All other clubs will go on as planned. Chess club will be moved to another room - details to come. 5th and 6th grade book club will be moved to the 4th Wednesday just for October.
