December comes with Snow

Welcome back to school, Holiday Break is quickly approaching!

Check the calendar on the side to see all that is happening in the next few weeks. We have singing, singing and more singing, literacy nights, and a break!

The grading quarter ends on the 6th of January. Now is the time to get all assignments and grades up to date. Ask your students what they are expecting, check aspire, encourage students to get caught up and finish the semester strong.

As the temperatures drop, please remember that coats, gloves and boots are important because students will still be going out to recess during the day. These breaks are so important for student activity and large/fine motor skills, plus they love it!
Also, the buildings are not open until 7:30 am and school releases at 3:00 pm unless participating in clubs which end at 3:45. Timely pick up of students will keep them out of the cold and allow staff to complete work before leaving school.

The Angel Tree is up in the office of both buildings. We greatly appreciate our generous parents and students who take tags from the tree to support our families in need. If you have taken a tag from the tree, please make sure you let the office know which tag you are taking. We need all gifts wrapped and returned with tags by December 9th. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call Rebecca at 801-627-3066. Thank you again for all your generosity this holiday season.

Holiday break is approaching! Remember that the start and end dates of this year's break is a bit different than past years. The break does not begin until December 20th at 12:45 pm (Tuesday the 20th is an early release and uniform free dress day). Please plan holiday travel for after the 20th. Another difference this year is that school resumes on Wednesday, January 4th.

If I don't see you between now and the break, enjoy your holidays with family and friends, be safe and thank you for all you do for your students, and the staff of OPA!
