Parking Lot Updates:
It is looking much better overall! It takes time to get in the flow, and what makes the parking lot safe for everyone. Please remember to use the crosswalks, please DO NOT LEAVE your car (we are here to help get students to you), Please have patience.
We are trying to teach our students that TOGETHER WE ARE BETTER! If we synergize we can make a difference in the lives of our friends. During the month of October we will have a JAR in our office labeled YMCA. We are trying to earn enough money to give a YMCA SCHOLARSHIP to 5 of our very own OPA students. If you have any spare dollars or change please send it to school this month and let your student add the money to our JAR (see the picture of Jar on the side). The money in the jar will be combined with the money we get from our Jersey TEAM SPIRIT day October 26th. If you can, please participate in this WIN/WIN. At OPA everybody loves, everybody learns and everybody leads.

Red Ribbon Week: October 24th-28th Red Ribbon Week is a tradition at OPA to encourage students to Live Drug Free. This year the OPA Lighthouse (Leader in Me) Team has decided to use the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People to EMPOWER students with the habits to Live Drug Free. Below are the dress allowances for each day in the elementary and secondary buildings. In addition, look for a flyer with the daily curriculum for the elementary that is down below in this blog. I am providing the daily curriculum so that you can further the conversation with your family and share your views on a drug-free life.
